«These were not chosen» was an art in public space project produced during Trondheim Open* October 8th-9th 2011.

The project was a collaboration between the artist Brynhild Bye and the local newspaper Adresseavisen. Bye worked with a journalist from the newspaper as a photographer in a typical news story. A photo was selected and printed in the paper. The "others" who were not selected and also the one who were selected, was presented and discussed with the public at different locations in Trondheim.
